3 Años is Centinela's extra añejo — aged a full three years in American oak, longer than any other expression in the line. The extended time in barrel builds a depth and sweetness that the reposado and añejo styles don't reach.
Neat, in a snifter — treated as a sipping tequila to close out the evening, the way you'd pour a fine whiskey or cognac.
Three full years of oak aging is rare for tequila — most añejos stop well short of that. The extended time develops notes of baked agave honey, caramel, and toasted nut that only come from long barrel contact.
